The outdoor cabinets are of a packaged type of reduced dimensions intended for housing telecommunication and similar equipment.

This product was originally mainly intended for use in outside environments such as rural sites, urban sites (street Cabinets) and similar applications and its mechanical characteristics make it possible to reduce to a minimum the activities of installation.

Its lightness, reduced dimensions, robust frame, extreme resistance to environmental conditions and the robustness of its structure make it possible to transport the cabinets completely assembled and equipped.

The product includes: a mechanical structure, a system of energy management and distribution and a system of elimination of the heat generated by the dissipation of the internal devices.

The product was designed in accordance with anti-vandalism criteria, so that the only possibility of access is through the service door which has a robust handle with a key, while all the other parts can be removed only from inside.

The structure consists of a rigid frame on which the mountings make it possible to house 19” rack devices. The cabinet is thermally insulated in order to protect it from the heat produced by the sun’s rays on the walls concerned.

The system of energy management and distribution, housed on the device rack, is divided into two parts of which the first consists in energy management, the second in distribution. Both are designed according to application requirements.

The elimination of heat can be obtained through the action of a direct refrigerant expansion cooling system or through the extraction and exchange of air.

Heat elimination with cooling system

The air conditioner, integrated with the cabinet structure, is composed of: condenser, evaporator, compressor and control devices.

In this type of solution, the regulation of the temperature occurs by means of an electro-mechanical thermostat which acts on the compressor, with the possibility of varying the work point manually.

The condensing and evaporating parts are completely separate and segregated from one another and the equipment room is insulated providing the cabinet with a degree of mechanical protection IP55.

The size of the air conditioning system is determined on the basis of the application requirements.
